Alan W. "Spanky" Gilmore

FORT MEADE - Mr. Alan Wayne "Spanky" Gilmore, 59, passed away in Belleview, FL on Friday, Dec. 13, 2013. Spanky was born Nov. 26, 1954 in Hayti, Missouri, and has been a longtime resident of Fort Meade for many years. He was a plumber for over 40 years, working with Graves Plumbing for nearly 14 years, and he attended the New Beginning Church of God in Fort Meade. Spanky was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene Gilmore, step-father, Harry Crockett, and brother-in-law, Junior Crockett. He is survived by his children, Todd and Tara; sisters, Peggy Sue Gilmore, Polk City, FL and Judy Crockett, Opelieka, AL; brothers, Michael Hunt & wife Mary, Belleview, FL and Anthony Gorum & wife Heather, Fort Meade, FL; aunts, Carol Gorum & husband Donnie, Fort Meade, FL and Barbara Onley, Hayti, Missouri. Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Monday, Dec. 16, 2013 with funeral services following at 7:00 p.m. in the Hancock Funeral Home Chapel, 945 East Broadway, Fort Meade, FL with Rev.
