Mrs. Alice Hedden Spieth

FORT MEADE - Mrs. Alice Hedden Spieth, 87, passed away Monday, August 22, 2022 in Winter Haven, FL. Mrs. Spieth was born March 23, 1935 in Mulberry, FL and has been a resident of Fort Meade for many years. Her family moved to Fort Meade in 1949, she graduated Fort Meade High School in 1953 and soon went on to further her education at the University of Florida, where she graduated in 1957. Mrs. Spieth was a teacher for many years in Fort Meade, Virginia and Texas before retiring and returning to Fort Meade in 1995. She was a member of the Fort Meade Garden Club, where she proudly provided the programs for the club for several years. Among her many talents, she was also a violinist, wildlife artist and enjoyed raising orchids and training dogs.

Mrs. Spieth was preceded in death by her father, Robert Hedden; mother, Ruth Ralston Oslund; husband, Jim Spieth; and daughter, Leslie Spieth.

She is survivedf by her sons, Ken Spieth and wife Margie, Lexington, SC, Sam Spieth and wife Tracey, Richmond, VA, George Spieth and wife Barbara, Fort Meade, FL; daughter, Mary Robitaille and husband Mark, Plantation, FL; brother, Charles Hedden; sisters, Ruth Ann Ivey and Mary Hughs; grandchildren, Sandy, David, Mary, Rachael, Angelica, Taylor, Michael, and Miles.
