Arthur Donald Moyer

FORT MEADE – Mr. Arthur Donald Moyer, 60, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2023 in Bartow, FL surrounded by friends and family.  Art was born May 26, 1963 in Tampa, FL, and was a lifelong resident of Fort Meade.  He was a heavy equipment operator for MGM Underground Utilties and of the Christian faith.  Art love to fish and watch the Tampa Bay Bucs.  He also loved to spend time with his family and friends, and was always willing to lend a helping hand.   ​

      He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Eugene Moyer, Sr.; brother, Donald Eugene Moyer, Jr.; brother-in-law, Joe Rice.  

​Art is survived by his loving wife, Verna Jones Moyer and their children, Tina Marie Harrington and husband Shawn, Ocala, FL, Devin Arthur Moyer, Fort Meade, FL, and Darian Michael Black of Pennsylvania; mother, Marylon Kay Moyer, Fort Meade, FL; brothers, Charles “Chuck” Eugene Moye and wife Giovan, Seffner, FL, Bruce Lee Moyer and wife Valerie, Lakeland, FL, Richard Boykin & wife Tina, Sulfur, LA; sisters, Lisa Moyer Rice and Shirley Ankrim, both of Fort Meade, FL; sister-in-law, Marti Moyer, Lake Wales, FL.  Art also had three grandchildren that were his pride and joy, Shawna Marie, Gregory Spencer, and Silas Jae Herrington, Ocala, FL.  

​Art’s Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 p.m. noon on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at the Fort Meade VFW Post, located on Brown Ave. in Fort Meade
