Mrs. Betty Logan Collier

FORT MEADE - Mrs. Betty Logan Collier, 77, passed away and went to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 30, 2016 . Mrs. Collier was born in Coffee County, AL and moved to Fort Meade from her home state of Alabama in 1951. She was a retired rural carrier for the U.S. Post Office, graduate of Fort Meade High School Class of 1957, and of the Primitive Baptist faith. Mrs. Collier loved cooking for her family, and one of her favorite loves was spending time on the water fishing.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Gene Collier; brothers, Max Logan and Wayne Logan.

Mrs. Collier is survived by her son, Gary E. Collier, Wauchula, FL; daughters, Lanelle Coulter and husband Mike, Fort Meade, FL, Karen Burdett and husband Matt, Harrodsburg, KY; brothers, Douglas Logan and wife Pauline, Willow Oak, FL, and Jack Logan, Fort Meade, FL; sister, June Logan Peacock, Robinsville, NC; grandchildren, Shane Coulter and wife Audrey, Brittany Raebig and husband Daniel, all of Fort Meade, FL; grandchild of the heart, Kara Burns; great-grandchildren, Caroline Coulter and Carley Coulter.

Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016 at Hancock Funeral Home, 945 East Broadway, Fort Meade, FL. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Kenny Slay officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Meade.
