FORT MEADE - Mrs. Betty Carol Revell Walker, 82, passed away Monday, April 4, 2022 in Lakeland, FL. Mrs. Walker was born May 8, 1939 in Miami, and peviously residing in Fort Meade, she has been a resident of Lakeland for many years. She was retired from the Polk County School Board as a finance clerk after a 25 year tenure,and where she began as a key punch operator at the beginning of her career. Mrs. Walker was a 1957 graduate of Fort Meade High School and a lifelong member of Cornerstone Church of God in Fort Meade.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon Sydney Revell and Catherine Magdalene Baker Revell; husband, James "Bunky" Walker; son, Jamie Brissell; sister, Vera Lunn Fennell; brothers, Herbert Lunn and Maxie Lunn.
She is survived by her children, Jennifer McClaine and husband Mack, Fort Meade, FL, Anthony Lee Brissell, Terry Brissell and Jim Walker Jr. and wife Janet, all of Lakeland, FL, Rodger Brissell, Fort Green, FL, Catherine Walker Keiffer and husband Ken, Fort Myers, FL; brother, Earl Lunn, Bradenton; 19 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchidlren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Cornerstone Church of God, 10 S. Seminole Ave., Fort Meade, FL. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday in the church sanctuary with Pastors Phillip Williams and Bill Whitener officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Meade.
