Betty Gene Waller

FORT MEADE - Mrs. Betty Gene Waller, 90, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013 in Bartow of heart failure. Mrs. Waller was born October 24, 1923 in Eagle Lake, TX, and moved to Fort Meade from Old Ocean, TX in 1957. She was a homemaker and longtime member of the First Baptist Church, Fort Meade. Mrs. Waller was also a member of the Fort Meade Garden Club, Fort Meade Woman's Club and a 1941 graduate of Richmond, TX High School. Mrs. Waller is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Thomas K. Waller, Fort Meade, FL; daughters, Jenie Belcher and husband Keith, Winter Haven, FL and Jan Wilson and husband Marty, Bartow, FL; one grandson, M.J. Wilson, Bartow, FL. The family also appreciates four special ladies, Gina, Gwen, Teresa and Trudi. Visitation will be held 1:30pm - 2:00pm, Friday, Nov. 29, 2013 at Hancock Funeral Home, 945 E. Broadway, Fort Meade. Funeral services will be at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel with interment following in Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Meade.
