Carrie Hughes Bacon

FORT MEADE - Carrie Hughes Bacon, 63, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2021 at her home in Fort Meade, FL. She was born January 19, 1958 in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and has been a resident of Fort Meade for many years. Carrie was a homemaker, and loved taking care of her family, sharing with them all of her talents of sewing and crafting, and most importantly teaching them how to be an avid Tampa Bay Buccaneer Football fan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward S. Hughes and Iduma Key Hughes; husband, Eddie Bacon; son, Andrew Kelley; and sister, Wanda Sanders.

Carrie is survived by her sons, Eddie Kelley and wife Leah, Springhill, TN, Curtis Bacon, Gainesville, GA, Joseph Bacon, Fort Meade, FL; daughters, Christie Herrley, Fort Meade, FL, Audrey Crotts and husband, Tony, Lakeland, FL; brother, Keston Risedon, Lakeland, FL; sisters, Debbie Clanton, Clarkesville, IN, Margaret Campbell, Plant City, FL, Angela Riseden, Lakeland, FL; fifteen grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 19, 2021 at Hancock Funeral Home, 945 E. Broadway, Fort Meade, FL. Interment will follow in the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
