Bowling Green- Celia Ann “Mama Cay” Fowler, 54, entered eternal rest on August 23, 2022 in Sebring. Celia was born in Lakeland, Florida on May 7, 1968 and later moved to Panama City, Florida where she graduated from A. Crawford Mosley High School, class of 1986. She was of the Baptist faith. Celia attended South Florida College in Avon Park for Nursing where she was the vice president of the National Honor Society and a Phi Beta Kappa graduate. She had a love for all children and showed that love through her career as a nurse with the Bowling Green Youth Academy. Celia was affectionately known in the community as “Mama Cay,” mainly because she was a mother to all children. She was a scorekeeper and regular in attendance at youth sports, loved playing games on her phone and adored her grandchildren.
Celia was preceded in death by her brother William Jay Yarley, and is survived by; mother, Janice Waldee; father, William Yarley; Daughter, Lina Miller (Dale); sons, Allen Fowler (Adelina), William Fowler (Adrianna), Benjamin Cauley; grandchildren, Cheyanne, Addison, A.J., Willow, Cameron, Logan, Aryzona; great grandchild, Carliegh; brother, Raymond Yarley (Karen); niece, Lauren; nephews, J.J., Cyrus, Jasper and all that knew her as Mama Cay.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022 from 1:00pm-3:00pm at the home of her daughter; 3539 Elm Street, Zolfo Springs, FL 33890.
