Charles G. Crews

BARTOW - Mr. Charles Gerald (Sonny) Crews, 74, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011 at his home due to cancer. Mr. Crews was born April 5, 1936 in Ona, FL and moved to Bartow from Fort Meade, FL in 1991. He was a Maintenance Supervisor for IMC Mining in Fort Meade, and a member of First Baptist Church, Fort Meade. Mr. Crews was a U.S. National Guard Veteran from 1954-1958 and along with his work, Mr. Crews enjoyed spending his spare time with his family. Mr. Crews is survived by his wife, Jeanette Carter Crews, Bartow, FL; Sons, Charles G. (Jerry) Crews and wife Martha, Fort Meade, FL, Keith Crews and wife Laura, Sebring, FL, Scott Crews and wife Jennifer, Fort Meade, FL; brother, Robert Eugene Crews, Willow Oak, FL; Grandchildren, Keith, Eli, Ryan and Kayla Crews; One Great-Grandson, Emery Crews. Visitation will be held 10:00am-11:00am Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011 at Hancock Funeral Home, Fort Meade. Memorial services will follow at 11:00am at the funeral home chapel with Rev.
