Charles Alden Feathers, Sr.

FORT MEADE - Mr. Charles Alden Feathers, Sr., 79, passed away in Lakeland, FL on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013. Mr. Feathers was born Aug. 10, 1934 in Fishertown, PA and moved to Fort Meade from Ogden, Utah 15 years ago. He was a retired 20 year veteran from the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Vietnam War and Korean Conflict, and Mr. Feathers also owned and operated C.A. Feathers & Son Trucking Co. He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Fort Meade, FL, Air Force Sergeant's Assoc., Air Force Assoc., Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star, Shriners, VFW, American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, and National Square Dance Campers Assoc. He is survived by his loving wife, Roberta B. Feathers, Fort Meade, FL; son, Charles A. Feathers, Jr., Riverdale, Utah; daughter, Michelle Feathers & fiance Stewart Meziere; brother, Joe Feathers, Bedford, PA; sister, Jean Beegle, Bedford, PA; grandchildren, Skylar Noah Sheff and Courtnie Anne Sheff. Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013 at the Christ Episcopal Church, 1 N. Cleveland Ave., Fort Meade, FL with The Rev. Buck Merritt officiating.
