Mr. Davis “Pap” Roberts

FORT MEADE - Mr. Davis “Pap” Roberts, 83, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2019 at his home in Fort Meade, FL. Mr. Roberts was born December 20, 1935 in Tallulah, TN, to his parents George P. and Virgie Mary Yates Roberts, and has been a resident of Fort Meade for many years. Mr. Roberts owned and operated Roberts Repair and Parts in Fort Meade for the last 28 years, and he previously worked with the Fort Meade Coca-Cola Bottling Co. in Fort Meade for over 20 years, and was the owner of the Gulf automotive service station in Fort Meade. He attended the First Church of God of Fort Meade and loved to spend his spare time taking care of his family and grandchildren.

On February 23, 1954, 65 years ago, Mr. Davis married the love of his life who survives him, Mrs. Carolyn Corbitt Roberts, Fort Meade, FL. He is also survived by his children, Jackie and wife Vicky, Anita and husband Richard, Steve and wife Sheila, Buck and wife Joanna, Boo Boo and wife Laura Lynn; sisters, Rena Hoffman, Mae Moore, Flossie Northcutt, Shirley Chance; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 3:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Hancock Funeral Home, 945 East Broadway, Fort Meade, FL. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Randall Belcher officiating.
