Mr. Dean William Dickson, 71, passed away at his home in Fort Meade on Thursday, February 2, 2017. Mr. Dickson was born August 14, 1945 in Hemel Hempstead, England and has being a resident of Fort Meade for many years. He worked in the agriculture industry and loved to fish and hunt in his spare time, and he was also of the Protestant faith. Dean was a tremendous athlete in his younger years, where he attended Hardee Jr. High School, before later attending school in St. Augustine, FL.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Haril William Dickson and Marian Cross Dickson Keen; brother, Michael Hammett; brothers-in-law, Jimmy Parker and Derek Langton.
He is survived by his sisters, Mary Morgan and companion Harry Kirmeyer, Fort Meade, FL, Christine Lynee Parker, Fort Meade, FL, Carol Royal and husband James, Maryville, TN, and Mareen Langton, Leicester, England; brother, David James Dickson, and wife Rainey, Wauchula, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitiation will be held 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Fort Meade. Memorial services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the church sanctuary with Rev. Joe Parrish officiating.
