Mrs. Dorcas M. O'Berry

GLADEWATER, TX - Mrs. Dorcas M. O'Berry, 80, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at her home in Gladewater, TX. Mrs. O'Berry was born August 15, 1936 in Fort Myers, FL and was a former longtime resident of Bartow, FL before moving to Gladewater, TX, where she was a homemaker and member of the Roundflat Pentecostal Church in Fruitvale, TX.

Mrs. O'Berry was preceded in death by her parents, J.F. McDaniel and Wilabelle Hite McDaniel, and her husband, Eddie Wilson O'Berry.

She is survived by her five children whom she loved beyond measure. These children were the light of her life, and they include her son, Eddie Wilson O'Berry, Jr. and wife Margaret, Eagle Lake, FL; daughters, Carmello Kay Nix and husband Billy, Pritchet, TX, Esther Ruth Sangster, Westminster, SC, Theresa F. Burwick and husband Jerry, Gladewater, TX, and Quandalia Marie Ponds and husband Robert Ponds, Sr., Gladewater, TX; Twelve Grandchildren; Nineteen Great-Grandchildren; and Two Great-Great-Grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Hancock Funeral Home, 945 East Broadway, Fort Meade, FL. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, and interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Bartow, FL.
