Dorothy Lucille Hamilton

SEFFNER - Mrs. Dorothy Lucille Hamilton, 93, passed away Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014 in Bartow, FL. Mrs. Hamilton was born Sept. 17, 1921 in Russell County, IL to her parents, Lue Medford Goff and Martha Jane Shoulders Goff, and she moved to Seffner from Illinois in 1958. She was a homemaker, member of the First Church of God in Plant City, and a member of the Women of the Church of God.
Mrs. Hamilton was preceded in death by her husband, James Ellis Hamilton; son, James Eugene Hamilton; brothers, Owen Goff, Gene Goff, Bill Goff; sisters, Mary Stone, Betty Clark and Wilma Tewell.
She is survived by her son, Richard Hamilton, Seffner, FL; daughters, Eva Lawson and husband Neal, Seffner, FL and Janet Guice and husband Larry, Fort Meade, FL; sisters, Wanda Walton, Flat Rock, IL and Bessie Grigsby, Rainsville, AL; grandchildren, David Lawson, Dawn Lively, Tammy Terry, Chris Guice, Leigh Ann Rogers, Jason Hamilton; sixteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 1:30pm - 2:30pm, Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014 at the Mango Church of God, 11402 Colony Hill Dr., Seffner, FL. Funeral services will follow in the church sanctuary at 2:30pm. Interment will be in Seffner Cemetery.
