WINTER HAVEN - Mr. Frederick G. "Freddy" Hurst, 64, passed away Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015 in Lakeland, FL. Freddy was born Feb. 1, 1951 in Dade City, FL and moved to Winter Haven from Dade City in 1992. He was a musician, playing drums for multiple country and gospel bands, and of the pentecostal faith.
Freddy was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Clifton Hurst and Mildred Mae Carr Hurst, and brother, William Clifton Hurst.
He is survived by his wife, Velma Cochran Hurst, Winter Haven, FL; step-son, Paul Best, Lakeland, FL; step-daughter, Patty Harrison and husband Tim, Winter Haven, FL; sister, Barbara Jean Lawrence and husband Bill, Zephyrhills, FL; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Private family services will be held.
