FORT MEADE - Mr. Harry Whitehall Kirmeyer, 86, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2019 in Lakeland, FL. Mr. Kirmeyer was born December 23, 1932 in Hayes, PA, and has been a resident of Fort Meade for many years, and was a construction engineer in Princeton, NJ before coming to Fort Meade where he worked on the engineering and construction design of the south Fort Meade plant for Cargill and Mosaic. Mr. Kirmeyer was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran, and he loved to be outdoors, spending time in the open fields Skeet shooting, and also working around his home, which was very near where he attended church at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Fort Meade.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph C. and Dorothy Mae Rietzel Kirmeyer; and his brothers, Michael Kirmeyer and Raymond Kirmeyer.
Mr. Kirmeyer is survived by his loving companion of many years, Mary Morgan, Fort Meade, FL; sister, Lois Kirmeyer Finney, Valparaiso, IN; step-son, Greg Morgan, Jr., Lakeland, FL; son, Harry Kirmeyer, Jr., and daughter, Karen Kirmeyer.
