Mr. Henry E. "Manny" Bass

FORT MEADE – Mr. Henry Emanuel “Manny” Bass, 74, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018 in Bartow, FL. Mr. Bass was born September 16, 1944 in Fort Meade, FL, where he remained a lifelong resident. He was a heavy equipment operator for Moretrench Construction, a member of the National Rifle Assoc., and of the Church of God faith.

Mr. Bass was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Pearl B. Bass; and grand-daughter, Kaci Bledsoe.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley F. Bass, Fort Meade, FL; son, Henry E. “Hank” Bass and Tracy, Bartow, FL; daughters, Teena Counts and husband Roy, Bartow, FL, Georgia Bass, Fort Meade, FL; father, Henry C. Bass, Fort Meade, FL; brother, Ronnie L. Bass, Fort Meade, FL; step-sister, Mary Ann Pollard and husband Gerald, Fort Meade, FL; grandchildren, Toni, Justin, Michael, Talya, Danyele, Lexi, Hunter, Chassity, Sabrina, Brittany and Kala; great-grandchildren, Mya, Ethan, Leigha, Megan, Emma, Skye, Logan, Madison, Cory and Braiden; one great-great-grandchild, Kaisen.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Hancock Funeral Home, 945 E. Broadway, Fort Meade, FL. Private family services will be held at the family home at a later date.
