Mr. Herbert M. "Mickey" Gray

HOMELAND - Mr. Herbert M. "Mickey" Gray, 64, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2022 in Lakeland, FL. Mickey was born October 28, 1958 in Bartow, FL, and was a lifelong resident of the Homeland area. He was an eight year veteran of the United States Air Force working in air traffic control, and attended The War Room Church in Connersville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert A. and Ruth Dishong Gray; sister, Cherie Denise Gray; and niece, Michelle Delane Ogle.

Mickey is survived by his brother, Eric D. Gray,, Homeland, FL; sisters, Bonnie Ashley Benitez and husband Pedro, Homeland, FL, and Melody Barwick and husband Steve, Lakeland, FL; nephew, Steven Barwick; nieces, Denise Ivey, Danna Mansfield, Maranda Coyle, and Rebecca Mansfield.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 2, 2022 at Hancock Funeral Home, 945 E. Broadway, Fort Meade, FL. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a..m with Pastors Pedro Benitez and Franklin Bennett officiating. Interment will be in Homeland Cemetery, Homeland, FL.
