Mr. James Bruce Albritton

FORT MEADE - Mr. James Bruce Albritton, 64, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Bartow Regional Medical Center. Mr. Albritton was born October 15, 1953 in Bartow, FL and was a lifelong resident of Fort Meade. He retired from the Polk County EMS after a tenure of 30 years, and he was also a 20 year veteran of the Fort Meade Volunteer Fire Dept., member of the Fort Meade High School Class of 1971, and a member of the Fort Meade First Church of God.

Mr. Albritton was preceded in death by his parents, Hiram Uriah and Leona Durrance Albritton.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Harris Albritton, Fort Meade, FL; son, James Uriah David Albritton, Fort Meade, FL; daughters, Christa Leya Barwick & husband Ben, Alturas, FL, and Katherine Elizabeth Albritton, Fort Meade, FL; brother, William Hiram Albritton, Mulberry, FL; sisters, Bertha Bowers, Riverview, FL, and Linda Cooley, Bartow, FL; grandchildren, Timothy Breeding, Annastar Breeding, and Rylie Walling.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the Fort Meade First Church of God. The family requests that memorial donations be made to the First Church of God, 215 S. Perry Ave., Fort Meade, FL 33841.
