Mr. Jeffrey F. Grissette

FORT MEADE - Mr. Jeffrey Foye Grissette, 69, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018 at his home in Fort Meade, FL. Mr. Grissette was born October 5, 1949 in Jacksonville, FL and has been nearly a lifelong resident of Fort Meade. He was a heavy equipment operator, working for Cooley Construction, and Peace River Packing Co., a graduate of Fort Meade High School, and of the pentecostal faith.

Mr. Grissette was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow "Red" Grissette and Frances Short Grissette; sister, Frances "Vicki" Wyser; brother, John Grissette; and sister in law, Janet Loadholtes Bearrentine.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Mary Nell Loadholtes Grissette, Fort Meade, FL; daughter, Sarah Grissette Peeples and husband Mike, Winter Haven, FL; step-sons, Patrick Sheffield and wife Amber, Chester Sheffield and wife Danielle, all of Fort Meade, FL; sister, Kathy Lott and husband Leonard, Lakeland, FL; sister in law, Laura Jean Johnson, Tallahassee, FL; brothers in law, Bruce Bearrentine, Fort Meade, FL, William J. Loadholtes, Jr., Sharpsburg, GA; grandchildren, Mason Sheffield, Violet Sheffield, Caleb Sheffield; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m.-2:00 p.m., with memorial services following at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 27, 2018 at the First Presbyterian Church, 118 N. Pine Ave., Fort Meade, FL with the Dr. Jack Taylor and Rev. Bill Whitener officiating.
