Mr. John A. Baggett Sr.

FORT MEADE - Mr. John A. Baggett, Sr., 71, passed away September 8, 2015 in Auburndale, FL. Mr. Baggett was born October 20, 1943 in Bowling Green, FL and was a longtime resident of Fort Meade. He worked with Commercial Carrier Trucking Lines, and was a graduate of Fort Meade High School, Class of 1962. Mr. Baggett was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War, and was also a member of the First United Methodist Church of Fort Meade.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn H. and Lora A. Baggett; and brother, Jimmy Baggett.
Mr. Baggett is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Shirley Jean Baggett, Fort Meade, FL; son, John A. Baggett, Jr. and wife Kim, Jacksonville, FL; daughter, Susan Strickland and husband Greg, Bartow,FL; step-son, Dewey Alford and wife Susan, Brookesville, FL; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
