Joyce Marie Pickard

FORT MEADE - Joyce Marie Pickard, 68, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022 in Wauchula, FL. Joyce was born November 8, 1953 in York, PA and has been a resident and the Lake Buffum area of Fort Meade for many years. She attended The Church in Alturas, FL, and she retired from Sunshine Foliage Nursery in Zolfo Springs.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Edith Bowman, and Paris and Lillie Workman; and her husband, Ralph Pickard.

Joyce is survived by her daughters, Melissa Sasser and Rachel Sasser; grandson, Ralph Pickard, all of Fort Meade, FL; parents, Fred and Cora Workman, Zolfo Springs, FL; sisters, Thelma Wolfe and Macel Willis, both of Wauchula, FL; brothers, John Workman, Dover, Pa, Paul Workman, Red Lion, PA, Reggie Workman, Zolfo Springs, FL, and Charles Workman, Jacksonville, FL.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 8, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Hancock Funeral Home, 945 E. Broadway, Fort Meade, FL. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m., with interment concluding the services in Oak Grove Cemetery, Oak Grove Cemetery Rd., Wauchula, FL.
