Mrs. Kathryn Alderman

FORT GREEN - Mrs. Kathryn Louise Alderman, 60, passed away Friday, July 7, 2017 in Orlando, FL. Kathy was born May 31, 1957 in Wauchula, FL and was a longtime resident of Fort Green before recently moving to Lake Wales. She was a home health care nurse and a member of Cornerstone Church of God, Fort Meade. Kathy was a loving person who like to take care of her family and friends, and also enjoyed sewing, crafting and fishing.

She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Kirkland and mother Daisy Phillips Kirkland.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband, Melvin J. Alderman, Sr., Lake Wales, FL; sons, Melvin J. Alderman, Jr., and wife Elizabeth, Inola, OK, Matthew Alderman and wife Carry, Wauchula, FL, Andrew Alderman and wife Faith, Lake Wales, FL; daughter, Destiny Alderman, Lakeland, FL; daughter/granddaughter, Breanna Johnson and husband James, Wauchula, FL; brother, Tommy Kirkland, Geneva, AL; sisters, Juanita Richardson, Sweetwater, FL, Alice Davis, Winter Haven, FL, Barbara Lee, Pioneer, LA; grandchildren, Breanna, Austin, Vera, Justice, Leigha, Karlie, Eithan, Emmitt, Delanci, Rylee, Kylie; great-grandchildren, Adison and Coleson.

Visitation will be held 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Hancock Funeral Home, 945 E. Broadway, Fort Meade. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 12, 2017 in the sanctuary of the Cornerstone Church of God, 10 S. Seminole Ave., Fort Meade with Pastor Phillip Williams officiating. Interment will be in Fort Green Methodist Church Cemetery, Fort Green, FL.
