FORT MEADE - Mr. Lacey N. Clanton, 63, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Melech Hospice in Temple Terrace, FL. Lacey was born February 24, 1953 in Bartow, FL, and was a lifelong resident of Fort Meade. He was a self-employed roofer and mechanic, a 1973 graduate of Fort Meade High School, and a member of the Fort Meade Worship Center.
Lacey was preceded in death by his parents, R.L. and RenaBelle Coleman Clanton, and brother, Robert Clanton.
He is survived by his daughters, Victoria Clanton and Sarah Nelson, both of Fort Meade, FL, and Amanda Rodriguez, Highland City, FL; brothers, Raymond Clanton and David Clanton, both of Fort Meade, FL; sister, Frances Poole, Cadwell, GA; three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the Christ Church/Fort Meade Worship Center, 1 N. Cleveland Ave., Fort Meade with Rev. Dan Brockman officiating.
