Mrs. Linda Every Peterson

FORT MEADE - Mrs. Linda Every Peterson, 69, passed away Saturday, May 19, 2018 at her home in Fort Meade, FL. Linda was a native and lifelong resident of Fort Meade, where she was a member of the First Church of God, a member of Fort Meade High School graduating class of 1967, and a retired service advisor after nearly 25 years for C. Bennett and Greenwood Chevrolet in Fort Meade. She loved people and her family, and extended her love to many children in the community as her own, making them quilts and providing another source of love for many. Linda never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew her. Live, Love, and Laugh were three important words in her life, and she displayed the definitions of those three words daily as she always shared her great sense of humor and giving nature with others.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Alec and Doris Ann McCrea Every, and her brother, Gene Every.

She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph G. Peterson, Fort Meade, FL; daughter, Patricia Ogborn and husband Marcus, Fort Meade, FL; son, Terry Smith, Mooresboro, NC; brother, Robert "Bob" Every and wife Linda, Umatilla, FL; grandchildren, Tyler Ogborn, Heather Smith, and Bryan Smith.

Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Wednesday; May 23, 2018 at Hancock Funeral Home, 945 E. Broadway, Fort Meade. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 24, 2018 at the First Church of God, 215 S. Perry Ave., Fort Meade with Rev. Travis Risner officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Meade.
