FORT MEADE – Mr. Lowell Thomas Craze, 76, passed away Friday, August 31, 2018 in Bartow, FL. Mr. Craze was born October 22, 1941 in Ward, WV and moved to Fort Meade, FL from Chipley, FL in 2009. He was a retired owner/operator truck driver for North American Van Lines for 30 years, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, and of the Presbyterian faith. Mr. Craze was a member of the Fort Meade V.F.W. and the Fort Meade American Legion Post, #23. Along with the activities involved in these two organizations, he was a member of the Fort Meade Masonic Lodge and Bowling Green Masonic Lodge, a member of the Fort Meade Order of the Eastern Star,
a member of the Blue Lodge as a 32nd Degree Mason, and the former District Deputy of District 21 for the Masonic Lodge.
Mr. Craze was preceded in death by his parents, Euel W. and Rhoda Baker Craze, and his sons, David William Craze and Daniel Franklin Craze.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Joyce L. Craze, Fort Meade, FL; son, Paul Thomas Craze and wife Judith, LaVergne, TN; daughter, Catherine Ann Wragg and husband James, Woodstock, GA; daughter-in-law, Carol Lynn Craze, Columbus, OH; brothers, David Craze, Norfolk, VA and Euel Craze, Irwin, PA; five grandchildren, Joshua, Sarah, Tommy, Jake, Brandon; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were held 7:00 p.m, Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at the Fort Meade Masonic Lodge #160 F&AM. The family requests that any memorial contributions be made to the Fort Meade Masonic Lodge in Mr. Craze’s memory.
