Marcella Stokes Collier

LAKE WALES - Mrs. Marcella Stokes Collier, 81, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2020 at her home in Lake Wales, FL. Mrs. Collier was born January 5, 1939 in Lake Wales, FL, and where she later resided for many years in the Cherry Pocket area of eastern Lake Wales. She was a 1956 graduate of Bartow High School, a member of the First Baptist Church of Fort Meade, and a homemaker.
Mrs. Collier was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Mary Hare Stokes; husband, James N. "Jimmy" Collier; brothers, Wallace Stokes and Leamon Stokes.
She is survived by her children, Debra Ginther and husband Rick, Diane Clements and husband Dan, all of Bartow, FL; Kevin Collier and wife Rita, Homeland, FL, Deneen Olinger and husband Mark, Lake Wales, FL, and Kenny Collier and wife Dustie, Bartow, FL; brothers, Dalvin Stokes and wife Geneva, Winter Haven, FL, Wayne Stokes and wife Becky, Fort Meade, FL, and Loren Stokes and wife Lannie, Lakeland, FL; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Private interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Meade, and public memorial services will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Mrs. Collier's memory to Vitas Hospice or a hospice of one's choice.
