Marie W. Williams

FORT MEADE - Mrs. Marie W. Williams, 80, passed away Monday, November 14, 2011 at Bartow Regional Medical Center of heart failure. Mrs. Williams was born on May 21, 1931 in Sizerock, Kentucky, and moved to Fort Meade from Cincinnati, Ohio in 1985. She was a 4th grade school teacher in Mt. Coronet, Ohio for 31 years, and a member of the Retired Teachers Association of Ohio. Mrs. Williams was also a member of the First Baptist Church, Fort Meade where she was very active as a member of the Joy Club, Sunday School Teacher and a great prayer warrior. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death on Oct. 7, 2011 by her son, Robert E. Williams. She is survived by her husband, Charles W. Williams, Fort Meade, FL; brothers, Emmett Woods and Charles Woods both of Oneida, Kentucky, Lawrence Woods, Vandalia, OH and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011 at the First Baptist Church, Fort Meade, FL with Rev. Kenny Slay officiating. Hancock Funeral Home, Fort Meade 863-285-8171
