FORT MEADE - Mrs. Marilyn E. Hancock, 69, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020 in Fort Meade, FL. Marilyn was born July 1, 1951 in Bartow, FL, and was a lifelong resident of Fort Meade. She retired after a long tenure with the Florida Dept. of Transportation as a specifications tech, a member of the Fort Meade High School graduating class of 1970, and a member of First Baptist Church of Fort Meade.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Merle W. and Shirley Chaney Waters; brother, Donald Waters, and uncle, Alroy Waters.
She is survived by her husband, Tommy Hancock; sisters, Carolyn W. Flood and husband Ed, Barbie Redden and husband David; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Allen and Margie Hancock; all of Fort Meade, FL; nieces and nephews, Eddie and Cheryl Flood, Michael and Sandy Flood, Melisa Redden, Mendy and Lance Gunter, Chuck Hancock, Russell Hancock; great-nieces and nephews, Makayla, Karly, Alexa, Brantley, and Blake; and her fur baby companion, Winchester.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from the graveside in Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Meade with Pastor Kenny Slay officiating.
