Marion Cross Keene

WAUCHULA - Mrs. Marion Cross Keene, 91, passed away at her home Sun., May 1, 2011. Mrs. Keene was born December 4, 1919 in Colne, Lancashire County, England. She came to the United States in 1945 moving to Indiana. She later moved to Wauchula from Indiana in 1958, where she worked as a waitress for many years at Knight's Restaurant in Wauchula. She attended Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Fort Meade. Mrs. Keene was dearly loved by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her passing will leave an empty space in her family's hearts forever. Mrs. Keene was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. (Buck) Keene, son, Michael Hammett and brother, Sydney Cross. She is survived by her sons, Dean Dickson, Wauchula, FL, David Dickson and wife Lorraine, Wauchula, FL; daughters, Carol Royal and husband James, Wauchula, FL, Christine Parker and husband Jimmy, Fort Meade, FL, Mary Morgan and Harry Kirmeyer, Bowling Green, FL; brothers, Ted Cross and Donald Cross, both of Hemel Hempstead, England.
