Mr. Mark Edward Heggie

FROSTPROOF - Mr. Mark E. Heggie, 57, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015 at his home in Frostproof. Mark was born July 26, 1957 in Joliet, IL and moved to Frostproof from Wilmington, IL several years ago. He was a truck driver, a U.S. Army veteran, and a member of the Teamsters Union. Mark also attended the Family Life Church in Frostproof, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Wilmington, IL.
He was preceded in death by his father, J.W. Heggie; maternal grandparents, Edward and Maude Jones; paternal grandparents, Jerald and Mar Lou Heggie.
Mark is survived by his son, Mark Christopher Heggie, Wilmington, IL; daughters, Sarah Bracken and husband Chad, St. Anne, IL, and Rachel Slayton, Joliet, IL; mother, Penny Austin, Fort Meade, FL; brother, Kevin Heggie and wife Gina, Palastine, IL; sisters, Constance Mann, Mesa, AZ, Helen Mann and husband Bob, Wilmington, IL, and Tracy Kent and husband Tom, Frostproof, FL; eight grandchildren, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church, Fort Meade, FL.
