Mrs. Mary Louise Twiss

OCALA - Mrs. Mary Louise Childress Twiss, 79, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2016 in Ocala, FL. Mrs. Twiss was born May 5, 1936 in Fort Meade, FL and moved to Ocala from Arcadia, where she resided for many years. She was a homemaker, devoting herself to take care of her husband and family, a lover of gardening, and of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Twiss was preceded in death by her son-in-law, David Deriso; brothers, Harold Childress, Dudley Childress, Doyle Childress, Ralph Childress; sisters, Annie Keller and Delia Twiss.
She is survived by her loving husband, Rolland Royce Twiss, Ocala, FL; sons, Steven Twiss and wife Penny, Canyon City, CO, and Michael Twiss, Bradenton, FL; daughter, Debbie Deriso, Ocala, FL; sister, Susie Lloyd, Fort Meade, FL; grandchildren, Brian Deriso, Mary Ann Duncan, Stephanie Twiss and Tabatha Twiss; fifteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Hancock Funeral Home, 945 East Broadway, Fort Meade, FL with Rev. Christopher Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Fort Meade. In lieu of flowers, those wishing, may make contributions to: The Hospice of Marion County, 3231 S.W. 34th Ave., Ocala, FL 34474.
