Miguel Barboza

FORT MEADE - Mr. Miguel Barboza, 87, passed away Satlurday, January 2, 2010 in Bartow, FL due to heart failure. Mr. Barboza was born May 8, 1922 in Corpus Christi, TX and moved to Fort Meade in the 1970's. Mr. Barboza was retired from Fort Meade High School as the Maintenance Supervisor for over 25 years and had a love for helping his friends and family with his second job and hobby, his lawn maintenance business. Mr. Barboza was a U.S. Army Veteran and of the Catholic faith. Mr. Barboza was preceded in death by a son, Jose Arturo Barboza. He is survived by his sons, Santos Blas Barboza, Tuscon, AR, Miguel Barboza, Jr., Palm Hurst, TX, Ricardo Barboza, Mission, TX; daughters, Teresa Barboza, Mission, TX, Maria Isabel Garcia, McAllen, TX, Yolanda Barboza, McAllen, TX; adopted daughter by heart, Tomasa Renobato, Fort Meade, FL; 21 Grandchildren and Several Great-Grandchildren, and many extended family family members in Fort Meade. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at the Hancock Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Ft. Meade. Hancock Funeral Home, Fort Meade 863-285-8171
