FORT MEADE - Mrs. Nancy Coryell Rhoden, 69, passed away Fri., Sept. 28, 2012 in Lake Wales due to heart failure. Mrs. Rhoden was born July 20, 1943 in Tampa, FL and has been a longtime resident of Fort Meade for many years. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother and a member of Lake Buffum Baptist Church, Fort Meade. Mrs. Rhoden, along with her husband, owned Rhoden Enterprises producing and selling fishing lures world wide. She and her husband also formerly owned the Eager Bait Co. in Bartow. Mrs. Rhoden was preceded in death by her son, Keith Russell Rhoden. She is survived by her husband, Lewis C. (Lew) Rhoden, Fort Meade; sons, Lewis S. Rhoden, Arnold H. Rhoden, III, and Ronald L. Rhoden, all of Fort Meade; daughter, Linda Michelle McCafferty, Gulf Breeze, FL; brother, Rev. Allen Coryell, Brandon, FL; sister, Sandy Gout, Tampa, FL, sister in law, Frances Coryell, Brandon, FL; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held 6:00pm - 8:00pm, Tues., Oct. 2, 2012 at Hancock Funeral Home, Fort Meade. Funeral services will be held 10:30am, Wed., Oct. 3, 2012 at the Lake Buffum Baptist Church, Fort Meade with Rev. Kenny Slay officiating. Interment will follow in Lake Buffum Cemetery.
