Mrs. Nellie Meacham Wetherington

FORT MEADE - Mrs. Nellie Meacham Wetherington, 86, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022 in Bartow, FL. Mrs. Wetherington was born November 27, 1935 in Okaloosa County, Florida, and has been a resident of Fort Meade nearly her entire life. She attended Fort Meade schools, was a homemaker and member of Cornerstone Church of God for many years.

Mrs. Wetherington was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Thomas Meacham and Reba Louise Cook Meacham; husband, James Neil Wetherington; son, Larry Fletcher Westbrook; brother, Dewey Thomas Meacham; and sister, Dorothy Louise Smith.

She is survived by her daughter, Jackie Westbrook Barrington and husband Clyde, Fort Meade, FL; brothers, Jerry Lee Meacham, Dothan, AL, and Ricky James Meacham, Fort Meade, FL; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 1, 2022 at Hancock Funeral Home, 945 E. Broadway, Fort Meade. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. from the graveside in Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Meade.
