FORT MEADE - Mr. Anos Olma Hendrick, 98, passed away Sat., March 3, 2012 at his home of cancer. Mr. Hendrick was born May 3, 1913 and was the son of Charles Bunyan and Ardelia Watson Hendrick, and also was a native and lifelong resident of Fort Meade. He was a farmer and rancher, member of the First United Methodist Church of Fort Meade, active Member and Vice-President of the Fort Meade Historical Society, and a Member of the Fort Meade High School Class of 1931. Mr. Hendrick was preceded in death by his wives, Lovie Lee Bozeman Hendrick and Doris Cannon Hendrick, daughter, Alene Sloan Weatherford, and several brothers and a sister. He is survived by his daughter, Margy Williams and husband Jimmy, Polk City, FL; step-daughters, Janet Straughn, Lakeland, FL, Glenda Kilner, Wauchula, FL; Sisters-in-law, Loretta Hendrick Handley, Lakeland, FL, Wilma Hendrick, Fort Meade, FL; grandchildren, Beverly Williams Bright and husband David, Jimmy O. Williams, Jr. and wife Kelly, Susan Sloan Copeland and husband Todd, Steven Sloan, Angie Gordon and husband Pete, six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 9:30am - 10:30am, Tues., March 6, 2012 at Hancock Funeral Home, Fort Meade. Funeral services will follow at 10:30am with Rev. Kenny Slay and Connolly Barnett officiating.
