FORT MEADE - Mr. Phillip L. Cannon, 64, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021 in Lakeland, FL. Phillip was born November 1, 1956 in Bartow, FL and was a lifelong resident of Fort Meade. He was a 1974 graduate of Fort Meade High School, a Construction Specialist with The Mosaic Co., where he had worked for over 40 years, and attended the Cornerstone Church of God in Fort Meade. When Phillip was not at work he loved to spend time fishing and hunting, and with his love of the outdoors, he was a member of The National Wild Turkey Federation.
Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, Matthew Jackson Cannon and Melba Yvonne Cannon.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Fultz, Fort Meade, FL; sons, Travis Fultz, Casey Fultz and wife Khrista, all of Lakeland, FL, Matt Zahara and wife Megan of Fort Meade; daughters, Amber, of Fort Meade and Kim Simone of DeLand; sisters, Sue Harris and husband Wayne, Fort Meade, and Cheryl Lewis and husband Howard, Mulberry, FL; grandchildren, Jaycee, Connor, Colten, Clay, Chance; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., Thursday, July 22, 2021 at the Cornerstone Church of God, 10 S. Seminole Ave., Fort Meade, and funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary.
