FORT MEADE - Mr. Raymond W. Heebsh, 88, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014 in Tampa, FL. Mr. Heebsh was most well known to his friends and acquaintances as "Ray the Tool Man." Mr. Heebsh was born June 5, 1926 in Toledo, Ohio, and was a longtime resident of Waterford, WI. Mr. Heebsh spent his winter in Fort Meade, FL at the Floriday Flywheeler Engine Club, where he spent many hours trading, buying and selling. Ray the Tool Man was very passionate about buying and selling old tools, and collection truly showed his passion. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Fort Meade, member of Florida Flywheelers, a U.S. Navy WW II veteran who served in the Pacific, and a member of the Mid-West Tool Collector's Club.
Mr. Heebsh was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley M. Heebsh.
He is survived by his sons, Lawrence Heebsh and wife Tina, Waterford, WI, David Heebsh and wife Gloria, Burlington, WI, Steven Heebsh and wife Cathy, Milwaukee, WI, Robert Heebsh and wife Karen, New Berlin, WI; daughter, Nancy Ford and husband Jon, Muskego, WI; sisters, Charlotte Earl and Karen Paxton and husband Jim, all of Toledo, OH; twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
