Mr. Robert D. "Bob" Cunningham

FORT MEADE - Mr. Robert D. "Bob" Cunningham, 90, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at his home in Fort Meade, FL. Mr. Cunningham was born February 14, 1933 in Bowling Green, Ohio and moved to Fort Meade from Indianapolis, IN in 1991. He was retired from RCA as a Quality Control Manager after a long 30 year tenure with the company. Mr. Cunningham was a graduate of Caldwell, High School, class of 1951, a member of the First United Methodist Church of Fort Meade for over 30 years. He was a United States Air Force veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict; former Commander and currently 1st Vice-Commander of the Fort Meade VFW; and a member of Fort Meade American Legion, Post #23.

Mr. Cunningham was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde C. and Vera Ruth Alspach Cunningham, and his son, Randall Cunningham.

He is survived by his loving wife, Benita D. Cunningham, Fort Meade, FL; daughter, Teresa Peterson and husband Eric, Indianapolis, IN; daughter-in-law, Orlanda Cunningham, Lehigh Acres, FL; brother-in-law, John Downs, Elijay, GA; sister-in-law, Audrey Kerr, Canton, OH; grandchildren, Johnnie Oliver, Lehigh Acres, FL; Sean Cunningham and wife Erica, Cory Cunningham and wife Siena, all of Lehigh Acres, FL, Melissa Wenn and Chad, Denver, CO, Ashley Biehl and Daniel, Cottage Grove, MN; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Deltin, Jacklynn and Maddox.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 6, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Hancock Funeral Home, 945 E. Broadway, Fort Meade, FL. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m., and interment will be in Dudley Cemetery, Caldwell, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Cunningham's memory to: Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Rd., Tavares, FL 32778-9648.
