Rocky Allen Watson

LAKE PLACID - Mr. Rocky Allen Watson, 60, passed away Friday, Jan. 29, 2010 in Lake Placid. Born Dec. 8, 1949 in Bartow, FL, Mr. Watson grew up in Fort Meade and has been a longtime resident of Highlands County. He worked for Florida Department of Transportation in Highland County in the Maintenance Dept. He was a member of Leisure lakes Baptist Church, Lake Placid and contributed financially to several organizations that were special to him. Mr. Watson is survived by his wife, Benita J. Watson, Lake Placid, FL; mother, Mary Watson Wood, Lake Placid, FL; son, Rocky Aaron Watson, Lake Placid, FL; Step-son, Nathan Preston Waters, Lake Placid, FL; daughters, Jessica Jewell Johnson, Avon Park, FL; Darlene Michele Waters, Dade City, FL: Ethena Arianna Watson, Lake Placid, FL; brother, James Watson, III, Lake Placid, FL; sister, Sylvia lanfair, lake Placid, FL; grandchildren, Janessa Julianne Johnson, Jadeyn Jewell Johnson, Ryan Waters, Luke Waters, Will Waters, Jade Waters. Visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 a.m., Friday, Feb. 5, 2010 at Welcome Primitive Baptist Church, Fort Meade with funeral services following at 11:00a.m. Interment will be in Watson Cemetery, Fort Meade.
