FORT MEADE - Mr. Rodney M. Terry, 76, passed away Saturday, August 7, 2021 in Sebring, FL. Mr. Terry was born October 6, 1944 in Meridian, MS and moved to Fort Meade from Bowling Green, FL in 2019. He was a retired Jet mechanic and an E7 Master Staff Sgt. with the United States Air Force, serving in the Vietnam War, and a member of the Kentucky Air National Guard. Mr. Terry was a member of the American Legion Post #200 in Louisville, KY, VFW #7339 in Franklin, NC, a member of the Oak Park Baptist Church, Fort Meade, FL, and spent many hours volunteering with the Crusade for Children.
Mr. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Malcolm A. Terry and Geneva Pilkington Terry; and he is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Joyce Terry, Fort Meade, FL; daughter, Kathy McGrew and husband Terry, Louisville, KY; brother, Wesley Dean Terry and wife Judy, Winchester, KY; sister, Billie Rose Lindsey, Louisville, KY; grandson, Brent Anthony Milliner and wife Amber, Ekron, KY; great-grandchildren, Chad, Charlie and Serenity.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at the Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 18th, followed by burial at 12:30 p.m., which will be held with military honors at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, 2501 N Dixie Blvd, Radcliff, KY.
