Mr. Roger Alan Fields

WINTER HAVEN - Mr. Roger Alan Fields, 58, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2020 in Tampa, FL. Mr. Fields was born May 3, 1961 in Bartow, FL and moved to Winter Haven from the Lake Buffum area of Fort Meade in 2010. He was a correctional officer in Polk City for the State of Florida, and of the Baptist faith. Mr. Fields loved to spend time fishing, and was a true family man, always keeping a positive outlook on life and helping to guide each person he could in the right direction to better themselves.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Lenore Fields and Betty June Brown Fields; brothers, Dick Fields, Larry Fields, Butch Fields; and sister Kathy Fields Doss.

Mr. Fields is survived by his wife, Shairl Ann Fields, Winter Haven, FL; children, Christopher Lee Fields and Michelle, Lake Wales, FL, Alex Dempsey Smith and Becky, Hamilton, TN; Jennifer Harris and "Pooh Bear", Winter Haven, FL, and Ben and Patricia Smith, Fort Meade, FL; mother-in-law, Shairl Darlene McClellan, Winter Haven, FL; and eight grandchildren.

A public visitation will be held Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. at Hancock Funeral Home, 945 East Broadway, Fort Meade. Private family services will be held.
