Mr. Rolland Royce Twiss

Mr. Rolland Royce Twiss, 84, passed away on August 9, 2016 in Ocala, Florida. Mr. Twiss was born May 8, 1932 in Fort Meade, Florida and moved to Ocala from Arcadia, FL where he resided for many years. He served and retired from the Air Force, and upon retiring and moving to Florida from South Carolina, he worked at the Arcadia Coca Cola Bottling Plant and then worked and managed the Arcadia Golf Course.
Mr. Twiss was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Mary Louise Twiss; son-in-law David Deriso; parents, Malvin and Lillie Twiss; brothers Elbert, Clifton, Willard, Alvie, Berton; sisters, Cora Lee, Letha, Elsie, Mildred and Lucille.
He is survived by his daughter, Debbie Deriso, Ocala, FL, sons Steven (Penny) Twiss, CO, and Michael Twiss, Bradenton, FL; four grandchildren, Brian Deriso, Mary Ann Deriso Duncan, Stephanie Twiss and Tabitha Twiss; fifteen great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Price, and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Hancock Funeral Home, 945 East Broadway, Fort Meade, Florida with Rev. Christopher Stephens officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Hwy. 98 East, Fort Meade. In lieu of flowers, those wishing, may make contributions to: The Hospice of Marion County, 3231 S.W. 34th Ave., Ocala, FL 34474.
