Rowena B. Pollard

FORT MEADE - Mrs. Rowena B. "Granny Pete" Pollard, 92, passed Friday, March 5, 2010 at Vista Manor in Titusville, FL of heart failure. Mrs. Pollard was born Feb., 14, 1918 and was a lifelong resident of the Bereah and Fort Meade area. She was a homemaker and member of the Corinth Primitive Baptist Church. Mrs. Pollard was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Lamar Pollard and her son, Jim Pollard. She is survived by her son, Gerald Pollard, Mims, FL; daughter, LaVone Yarbrough, Fort Meade; Nine Grandchildren; Eighteen Great-Grandchildren and Four Great-Great-Grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 1:00p.m. - 2:00p.m., Wed., March 10, 2010 at Hancock Funeral Home, Fort Meade.
