Fort Meade - Mr. Steven Cole Duva, 51, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2023 at his home in Fort Meade, FL. Steven was born June 11, 1971 in Azores, Portugal, and had a special place in his heart for animals of all kinds. He was a Class of 1990 graduate from East Bay High School in Gibsonton, FL and worked as a CNA in Sun City for twenty years. Steven then went on to work for the Polk County School Board as a Custodian at Fort Meade Middle Senior High School, which he loved. He currently attended the New Beginnings Church of God in Fort Meade.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Chandler and Leola Hancock Pullen.
Steven is survived by his parents, Paul E. and Susan Pullen Duva; aunt, Sandra Pullen Abernathy and husband Bill; uncle Bill Pullen and wife Sue; many cousins, friends and extended family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2023 at the New Beginnings Church of God, 3290 Hwy. 98, East, Fort Meade, FL.
