Teri Roberts

FORT MEADE – Mrs. Theresa L. “Teri” Roberts, 62, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2019 at her home in Fort Meade, FL. Teri was born June 19, 1956 in Bartow, FL, and was a lifelong resident of Fort Meade. She graduated Fort Meade High School in 1974 and went on to graduate from the University of South Florida with a B.S. in Elementary Education, and then received her Masters Degree from Webster University. Teri worked with the Polk County School Board for many years as a teacher and guidance counselor at Lake Shipp Elementary in Winter Haven, Lake Wales High School, and retiring as a guidance counselor at Fort Meade Jr./Sr. High School. She was a member of the Fort Meade Worship Center, where she was the Youth Leader, and a very active church member.

​Teri was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Cutchens; mother, Jacqueline “Jackie” Lamb; grandparents, Recer and Eva McDougald; and her father-in-law, Carl Roberts.

​She is survived by her loving husband, Donald Roberts; Fort Meade, FL; sons, Bryan Neely and wife Autumn, Cummings, GA, Donny Roberts, Chris Roberts and wife Jessica, all of Fort Meade, FL; daughter, Stacie Harpe and husband Derek, Fort Meade, FL; step-father, Ray Lamb, Fort Meade, FL; mother-in-law, Leola Roberts, Fort Meade, FL; brothers, Stephen Spivey, Stacey Spivey, and Stan Spivey; sister, Tami Gardiner; aunt and uncle, Juanita McDougald Powers and husband Tom, Dahlonega, GA; uncle, Bo McDougald, Raleigh, NC; ten grandchildren, Dustin and wife Jordan, Glavine, Wade, Kaleb, Kamryn, Landon, Annalea, Kadin, Braylon; and one great-grandchild, Jolene.

​Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., Friday, April 19, 2019 at the First Baptist Church, 307 E. Broadway, Fort Meade, FL. Funeral services will follow in the church sanctuary at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Dan Brockman and Rev. John Arrowood officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Meade.
