Mr. Thomas W. Bailey

FORT MEADE - Mr. Thomas W. Bailey, 65, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at his home in Fort Meade, FL. Mr. Bailey was born March 18, 1950 in Baltimore, MD, and moved to Fort Meade from Winter Haven, FL in 1983. He was retired from the Polk County School Board warehouse department, and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Fort Meade. Mr. Bailey was a member of the Fort Meade Rotary Club, Lions Club and Civic Club for many years, a Fort Meade Dixie Youth baseball coach, a 1968 graduate of Auburndale High School, and a very proud Florida State Seminole Booster.
Mr. Bailey was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Jeanette Merritt Bailey, and brother, Joseph Michael Bailey.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jodie Bailey, Fort Meade, FL; sons, Jeff Bailey, Lakeland, FL, Bryan Bailey and fiance Kathy, Fort Meade, FL; daughter, Jennifer Bailey Webb and husband Ken, Fort Meade, FL; brother, Don Bailey, Eustis, FL; grand-daughter, Paige Elizabeth Webb, Fort Meade, FL.
Visitation will be held 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Hancock Funeral Home, 945 E. Broadway, Fort Meade. Memorial services will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. John Bryant officiating.
