FORT MEADE - Mr. Tullie Ray Jackson, Sr., 69, passed away at his home in Fort Meade on January 1, 2014 from cancer. Mr. Jackson was born March 13, 1944 in Fort Meade, FL, and was the son of Tullie Edward and Mabel Adams Jackson. Mr. Jackson resided his entire life in Fort Meade where he graduated from Fort Meade High School, Class of 1962. He was a retired power lineman for Mosaic and of the pentecostal faith. Mr. Jackson was an avid hunter and took pride in his family and his many friends. He is now resting in peace in the loving arms of our Savior. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 1/2 years, Claudia J. Jackson, Fort Meade, FL; son, Tullie Ray Jackson, Jr. and wife Gail, Fort Meade, FL; daughter, Patricia Jackson, Fort Meade, FL; brother, Ralph E. Jackson, Sr. and wife Cecelia, Cleveland, TX; three grandchildren, Brandi Rae Richerson and husband Jeremy, Justin Ray Hendricks and wife Cierra, and Travis Ray Jackson; one great-grandchild, Jesse Richerson. Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m - 8:00 p.m., Friday, Jan. 3, 2014 at Hancock Funeral Home, 945 East Broadway, Fort Meade, FL. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday Jan. 4, 2014 in the Hancock Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chuck Pemberton officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Fort Meade.
