Mr. Uriel "Manuel" Avila

FORT MEADE - Mr. Uriel "Manuel" Avila, 65, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2018 at his home in Fort Meade, FL. Mr. Avila was born February 28, 1953 in Guadalajara, Mexico and has been a resident of Fort Meade for many years. He was a crew leader and supervisor for Bentley Brothers citrus for 47 years, and of the Catholic faith.

Mr. Avila was preceded in death by his parents, Ignacio and Antonia Avila, and one brother.

He is survived by his loving wife, Anna Avila; daughter, Lisa Lopez and husband Adrian Lopez, Sr.; grandchildren, Veronica Rodriguez, Adrian Lopez, Jr., Abigail Lopez and Alexis Lopez, all of Fort Meade, FL; and he is also survived by his five brothers and five sisters, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Hancock Funeral Home, 945 E. Broadway, Fort Meade. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
