William H. (Bill) West, Iii

FORT PIERCE - Mr. William (Bill) H. West, III was born December 8, 1935 in Kissimmee, FL and passed away, July 27, 2014. Bill was raised in Fort Meade, FL , and was the son of William H. West, II and Blonnie (Ross) West. As he was a lifetime Florida resident, Bill received his degree in horticulture from the University of Florida and enjoyed a long career in the citrus industry, mostly of it in St. Lucie County. Bill was pre-deceased by his parents, sister, Elinor (West) Adams, and daughter, Mary Lynn West.  Bill is survived by his wife Alice (Hosty) West, daughter Martha Alice (West) Nettles, son John W. West, granddaughter Christina Hale, grandson Colin D. Nettles and great-grandson Riley Weinstein, brother Jerry West, and various nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill’s name to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, or the charity of your choice. Services in Fort Pierce will be at the Haisley Funeral Home, 3015 Okeechobee Road, Fort Pierce, FL on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014 with a visitation from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. with service to follow at 4:00. Services in Fort Meade will be held on Sunday, Aug. 3, 2014.  A visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. will be held at Hancock Funeral Home, 945 East Broadway, Fort Meade.  Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.   Interment will be held in Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Meade, FL.   An online guest book may be signed at www.haisleyfuneralhome.com in Fort Pierce or www.hancockfh.com in Fort Meade.
